Discoveries Along The Way

A garden table with books, a journal, and tea, surrounded by lavender and flowers

I’m so glad you’ve wandered into this corner of the garden.

Over the years, I’ve discovered that wisdom often arrives through unexpected companions—a book that found me at just the right time, a conversation that lingers in our hearts, a synchronicity that sparks deep joy, a simple practice that steadies us, a walk in nature, or the simple miracle of watching a butterfly take flight.

These are a few of the discoveries that have stayed with me. They aren’t offered as recommendations or a collection to complete, but as discoveries that have nourished my own journey. My hope is simply that, as you wander through these garden paths, you may discover something that speaks gently to your own heart.

Pull up another chair. Pour yourself a cup of tea.

Stay as long as you like.

Welcome.

📚 What I’m Reading

The Call of the Camino

Suzanne Redfearn’s novel of two women, a generation apart, walking the Camino de Santiago—one seeking her late father’s footsteps, one running from her past. It has me thinking about grief and pilgrimage all week.

📚  Books That Have Stayed With Me

This is the beginning of my permanent library. Each book has its own card, and it never disappears—it simply lives here.

The Call of the Camino

Suzanne Redfearn

This novel follows two women walking the Camino de Santiago a generation apart. Reina lost her father as a child and, seventeen years later, sets out to walk the same five-hundred-mile pilgrimage he once made, not yet knowing how deeply it will change her. Woven through her journey is Isabelle’s story from decades earlier—a teenager fleeing her past who finds unexpected love and a new life along the same ancient path. Their two journeys, so far apart in time, turn out to be quietly bound together. It’s a beautiful reminder that the path we walk to find ourselves often begins with the steps we never meant to take.
